🍴 15 New Spots to Taste
The dining scene across Arlington and Northern Virginia is booming, with everything from new food halls and taverns to rooftop bars and international eats. Arlington highlights include Wonder in Rosslyn, Nettie’s Tavern, Westville, Bar Colline, and more.

💵 ARL Tops Child Care Costs
A new Wall Street Journal report names Arlington the most expensive place in the U.S. for child care—nearly $147,000 for five years, triple the national median. Experts cite high living costs, workforce education, and limited supply as driving the crisis.

🎓 Marymount Boasts Record Class
While many U.S. colleges face closures or mergers, Marymount University in Arlington welcomed 538 freshmen—its fourth straight year of growth. Leaders credit career-focused programs, like direct-entry nursing, and new sports offerings. Shenandoah University in Winchester also reported record enrollment.

🏘️ Highlands Row Expands Housing
The next phase of Crystal House’s redevelopment will add 865 units—including 655 affordable homes—through a public-private partnership with Arlington County, Amazon’s Housing Equity Fund, and others. Highlands Row townhomes are slated to open starting in late 2026.

🏨 Hilton Rosslyn The Key Opens
Hilton’s flagship brand has a new home in Rosslyn. The 36-story Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key features 331 modern rooms, 28,000 square feet of event space, a rooftop venue with 360° views, and The Locket restaurant. Find it at the base of the Key Bridge with direct Metro access.

🚦 Road Closures This Weekend
Arlington will close streets for the 9/11 Memorial 5K and Rosslyn Jazz Fest. Expect delays near the Pentagon, Crystal City, and Rosslyn—Metro is your best bet.
