🏅VA Runners Win Marine Corps Marathon

💼 Local Support for Furloughed Feds
As the government shutdown continues, Arlington-area restaurants, gyms, and shops are stepping up with discounts and free offers for federal workers. Deals range from free meals and fitness classes to job support resources and career training opportunities across Northern Virginia.
🍺 Lost Dog Café Closes CP Location
After years of disruptions from ongoing Columbia Pike construction, Lost Dog Café has closed its original Arlington restaurant. The owners cited traffic, road closures, and limited parking as key challenges. County officials say major improvements will be completed by year’s end.
🏛️ County Board Highlights
At its October meetings, the Arlington County Board approved Bluemont Park tennis court renovations, set a November hearing on towing fee updates, and reviewed the 2026 legislative priorities.
